Welcome to the website of Haxby Group Practice. Our mission is to provide you with a comprehensive quality caring service. Health care is a partnership between the patient and the Practice. The aim of this website is to give you information about us, how we work and what we can offer to ensure that you get the best possible service and care.

We serve approximately 20,000 patients and cover an area of about 50 square miles, with surgeries on four sites: Haxby & Wigginton, Huntington, New Earswick and Stockton-on-the-Forest. Our computer and telephone system links all the surgeries.

Once again the Practice has achieved the maximum possible points for its quality achievements over the period April to March.

There is parking at all sites with disabled access (if you are disable and need assistance this can be provided at each surgery). Please try to telephone ahead with details of your needs.

The practice shares part ownership of Haxby Group Pharmacy, which opened in November 2010, and is located on site at Haxby & Wigginton Health Centre. Anyone, whether registered with the practice or not may use this pharmacy, which is open for 100 hours per week and amongst many other services, can arrange collection and delivery of prescriptions regardless of where you live. With a long track record in providing excellent family medicine in York, Haxby Group opened three new GP surgeries in Hull, aimed at improving access to healthcare and addressing local health inequalities. The first surgery opened in October 2009. Please click here to view our Hull website.

We are a GP training Practice for both under-graduate students from the Hull & York Medical School and Postgraduates from the Yorkshire Deanery.
